1. Shaheen Force to Patrol Streets of Karachi to Fight Street Crime

Considering the growing street crimes in Karachi, the AIG (Additional Inspector-General) Javed Alam Odho has launched the Shaheen Force with the duty of preventing street crimes.
The motorbike-mounted force will patrol public places and markets to keep an eye on muggers to protect the general public.
Sharpshooters are also included, and the force will be seen patrolling the streets of the city within 2 days according to the AIG.
2. PSX Set to Launch PSX Dividend 20 Index

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) launched the PSX Dividend 20 Index, on 5th September comprising the top 20 dividend-paying companies.
The index is to facilitate income-seeking investors looking for investment opportunities. The Index is based on 10,000 points and has been internally operational since 29th October 2020.
The index offers the opportunity for investors to make informed decisions about their investments for promising results in the future.
3. Pakistan Railways Launches Special Lahore-Rawalpindi Trains

Under the directive of Khawaja Saad Rafiq, the Federal Minister for the Pakistan Railways (PR), 2 special trains have started operations between Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Earlier, the PR had suspended train operations following the destruction of the railway tracks due to recent floods all over the country.
As operations are coming back to normal, the federal government wants the rail operations in Balochistan, Sindh, and other flood-affected parts of the country to be restored on an urgent basis.
4. Chinese Company, Longi Solar to Provide Solar Panels to Pakistan

A Chinese company named Longi Solar has announced plans to provide solar panels for roofs to help ease the power shortage in Pakistan.
The statement was given by Regional Sales Manager Li Xiaopeng, of Longi Solar, in an interview with China Economic Net.
Longi Solar is a Chinese solar giant that has rolled out the first one-stop solar solution in China.
The company has signed an MoU with Pakistan to provide financial support as well to potential solar panel users.
5. Sindh Govt Plans to Open Tent Schools at all Flood Relief Camps

The Sindh government has set up tent schools in relief camps to resume academic activities in public sector schools situated in flood-affected areas across the Sindh province.
On 5th September, the Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah inaugurated the first tent school in Umerkot and was seen teaching at the school.
The District Administration together with the Education Department together has set up tent schools in relief camps that were made for the flood victims.
Syed Sardar Ali Shah expressed his determination regarding the education of the children affected by floods and stated that education in the region will not suffer any further.
