1. Rotana Media Group and EmaxMedia Collaborate for UrduFlix

Rotana Media Group and Emax Media have joined hands to bring viewers an ultimate entertainment experience in their language.
Farhan Gauher, CEO of Emax Media, announced the partnership with Rotana Media Group, which is the Middle East’s biggest media company for Films and TV.
The collaboration intends to offer content in Urdu which will be played on UrduFlix.
UrduFix was launched in 2021 and it is an OTT (over-the-top) platform that has content dubbed or originally created in Urdu.
2. Pakistan Army will Assist Qatar with Security during FIFA World Cup 2022

The Pakistan Army will offer assistance to Qatar with security for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022. The tournament will be held in the Middle Eastern country.
The army received approval from the federal cabinet for the Pakistan Army-Qatar agreement. The mega event is being held for the first time in Qatar and will begin on November 20 and will end on December 18.
3. The Pakistan Cricket Board Announces the Schedule of England’s Test Tour

On 22nd August, PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) confirmed the details of England’s tour for 3 Tests. The test matches will be played in December and these will be England’s 2nd half of the tour.
The test matches will be following the 7 Twenty20 Internationals held in Karachi and Lahore from 20 September to 2 October.
Ben Stokes’ side will open the test tour, with the first test in Rawalpindi from 1-5th December. Afterward, both sides will move to Multan for the 2nd test from 9-13th December.
Karachi will host the 3rd test from 17-21st December.
4. Marriyum Aurangzeb has Announced Measures to Revive Cinema Houses

Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, stated on 22nd August that the government is taking concrete steps to revive Cinema theaters. She added that they aim to offer incentives to the artists to promote art and local cinema in the country.
She spoke with the Pakistan Film Producers Association team members, led by Shaikh Amjad, who is the organization’s chairman.
According to Marriyum Aurangzeb, current trends and technology shall be incorporated into the film business, to ensure the production of high-quality films.
The government would provide every possible assistance to filmmakers, including tax exemptions for the import of film-making equipment.
5. The Peshawar Business Community to Provide Employment to Drug Addicts

To put an end to drug addiction and to bring past drug addicts, back to a normal life, the business community in Peshawar has decided to offer jobs to 475 rehabilitated drug addicts.
The decision was taken in a meeting with Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud in the chair.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Tanzeem-e-Tajran, Petroleum Association and Peshawar Cantonment Tajir Association, Tajir Insaf Group, Anjuman-Tajran, and Hotel & Restaurants’ Association.
6. Systems Limited Awarded ‘Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion’ for the 3rd Time

Forbes Asia compiled its list of the top 200 companies from the Asia-Pacific with consistent top and bottom-line growth making under $1 billion in revenue.
Systems Limited is among them shedding light on the company’s innovation, sustainability, and constant financial growth.
Apart from this award, the company also won the 2021 Poll of Asia’s Outstanding Companies by Asia Money award, in 2 categories.
