Are Pakistanis Eligible for Fully-Funded Netherlands Scholarships 2023 for International Students?

The Netherlands is offering fully-funded Europe scholarships for international students. The scholarship is under the Orange Knowledge Program for international students by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The first round of the application process is open now. The main purpose of the scholarship is to help both international and domestic students undertaking bachelor’s courses.

  • Select the short course of the Master’s degree that you are interested in pursuing.
  • Contact the educational institute of your degree.
  • Ask your institute about the eligibility criteria and requirements.
  • Fill out the application form through the university.

Each institute has its own eligibility criteria hence you need to visit its official site to check the criteria of the program you are planning to apply to. 

Important Dates to Remember

  • Round 1: 8 February 2023 – 30 March 2023
  • Round 2: 28 June 2023 – 5 September 2023

Are Pakistanis Eligible?

As per the official website, the list of participating countries is subject to change and is yet to be updated. In previous rounds, you were eligible for an OKP scholarship if you are a national of and working in:

Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Vietnam, and Yemen.

What it means is that, unfortunately, the scholarship is not currently available for Pakistanis, however, the list gets changed and Pakistanis can avail of the opportunity in the near future.
