The introduction of the cyberknife technology to the hospitals in Lahore and Multan soon to provide free treatment for cancer and other complex diseases has been approved by Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
CyberKnife Technology in Lahore and Multan
- Under the direction of Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi, a high-level meeting was held during which it was decided to implement cyber knife technology at Jinnah Hospital Lahore and Nishtar Hospital Multan.
- Complex diseases like cancer and other diseases will be treated for free thanks to CyberKnife Technology, according to CM.
- In addition, Pervaiz Elahi stated that he would be evaluated in order to grant Allama Iqbal Medical College university status.
Doctors would be trained in the treatment method, the chief minister announced while presiding over a meeting. Through the Ghurki Hospital, the Punjabi government has integrated the technique into the Sehat Insaf Card programme, he continued.
According to him, the Punjabi government has decided to introduce modern surgery technology cyberknife in the province’s major hospitals after including it in its health care programme for treatment. He claimed that patients would experience great convenience thanks to technology.
The inclusion of cyberknife, and modern surgical techniques can help in saving many lives. The Pakistani Government is taking great interest in the health care system which is a really good consideration for the betterment of Pakistan.
