Government Lifts Fixed Tax on Small Traders For One Year
Due to pressure from local traders, the government has decided to roll back the fixed tax scheme, which was created in the Finance Act of 2022. This announcement came after successful negotiations between government officials and traders.
Miftah Ismail, Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, and Khurram Dastgir Khan, Federal Minister of Power, met with members of the business sector. While talking to the media, Miftah Ismail said that after a full day of deliberation, the cabinet has agreed to remove the fixed tax for small traders for a period of one year.
