Changan Reduced Prices of Cars in Pakistan w.e.f August 19, 2022

Government Lifts Fixed Tax on Small Traders For One Year

Due to pressure from local traders, the government has decided to roll back the fixed tax scheme, which was created in the Finance Act of 2022. This announcement came after successful negotiations between government officials and traders. 

Miftah Ismail, Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue, and Khurram Dastgir Khan, Federal Minister of Power, met with members of the business sector. While talking to the media, Miftah Ismail said that after a full day of deliberation, the cabinet has agreed to remove the fixed tax for small traders for a period of one year.

Pakistan, Iran Vow to Enhance Trade and Economic Ties

In the 21st meeting of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Economic Commission, Pakistan and Iran decided to broaden their trade and economic ties. According to a news statement from EAD, the twenty-first session of the Joint Economic Commission between the two countries was held in Islamabad from August 17 to 18 of 2022. 

During the conference, a wide range of topics including Trade, Livestock, Culture, Tourism, Railways, Air Transportation, Education, IT and Telecommunications, and Labor were covered. Pakistan’s Honorable Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar also emphasized the necessity for easing visa requirements to support Pakistani travelers and traders.
