Since Pakistan’s currency is devalued hence in the press conference the Ministry of Finance has mentioned that the increase in prices is due to the devaluation of the currency. The recent price hike has broken all the previous records and we don’t know how much more the citizens of Pakistan have to suffer.
The petrol price has hiked up from PKR 170 to PKR 272 and people are not taking it well. The new price is effective from February 16. Along with the petrol the price of Kerosine has also been raised up by PKR 12.90 litre and the current price will be PKR 202.73.
Whereas the price of Light diesel oil has been increased up to PKR 9.68 and the current price will be PKR 196.68 per litre.Last month the government announced an increase in diesel and petrol prices by PKR 35 per litre and the Government has again increased the prices.
