Pakistan Railways (PR) has announced the operation of three special trains during the upcoming Eid ul Adha.
According to a report by ARY News, the first train will depart from Quetta to Peshawar at 10 am on June 26. The second special train is scheduled to run from Karachi to Lahore via Multan on July 26 at 8:30 pm. Similarly, the third train will depart from Lahore to Karachi via Multan on June 27 at 11:00 am.
PR officials have already started advance booking for these special trains to facilitate travelers planning to travel during the Eid ul Adha holidays. The special trains will offer both AC and economy-class bogies to accommodate passengers.
In addition, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a 10% discount on domestic flight fares for the Eidul Adha holidays. This discount will be applicable to all classes of domestic flights from June 30 to July 1, as announced by PIA. The decision to offer the discount was made following special directives issued by Aviation Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
The federal government has officially declared holidays for Eid ul Adha 2023. As per the statement issued by the Cabinet Division, the Eid holidays will be observed from Wednesday, June 28 to Saturday, July 1.
