Pakistan has ranked first for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the second year in a row thanks to all the students who have performed brilliantly along with their teachers. France will be the first destination for them in Europe.
Erasmus Mundus is a prestigious scholarship program funded by the European Union (EU) that aims to enhance the quality of higher education and promote intercultural understanding through international cooperation. The program supports students, researchers, and academic staff to pursue studies, research, or teaching at participating universities and institutions across Europe.
Erasmus Mundus scholarships are available for both European and non-European students and scholars. The program offers a wide range of study programs at the undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels. These programs are jointly delivered by multiple universities or institutions in different countries, allowing participants to gain an international academic experience.
Last year in 2022 around 3,013 students from 133 countries were selected for this prestigious scholarship; whereas, Pakistan ranked first globally in terms of scholarships awarded, maintaining its position as the leading country for scholarship applications.
Pakistan ranked first in the year 2023 as well and this shows the interest of Pakistan students in the EU and it is obliged to honor it.
