What is Raast?

Raast project is a collaboration between the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Karandaaz. The project aims to improve payment infrastructure and develop digital financial services in Pakistan. 

Raast reduces reliance on cash, driving financial inclusion in the country.

How does Raast Work? 

With a Raast ID, you can send/receive payments using a mobile number only. You don’t need to remember any account numbers or IBANs and get into any complications. 

You can receive money in your bank account, Easypaisa account, or JazzCash account through your Raast ID. 

Currently, there is no transaction fee applicable to Raast funds transfer so you can safely send money without paying any extra charges. 

Once a transaction occurs, you get text/email notifications from your bank/JazzCash/Easypaisa. 

To get started, all you have to do is to create a Raast ID through the steps mentioned below. 

How to Create your Raast ID?

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to create a Raast ID. We have mentioned steps for Easypaisa, JazzCash, and bank account holders. 

Creating a Raast ID – Through Bank accounts 

If you own a bank account (currently there are over 25 partner banks of Raast) and want to link it with your Raast ID, follow these steps:

Note: Most banks have already created a Raast ID for their respective customers. If you haven’t received the notification, check with your bank. 

• Open your bank’s preferred channel like mobile app, internet banking, USSD
• You can also visit the bank to register your Raast Account
• Confirm your mobile number
• The bank will confirm and register your Raast ID

Note: You can only own one Raast ID and only one account is allowed per Raast ID.

Creating a Raast ID – Through Easypaisa

To register your Raast ID on Easypaisa follow these steps: 

• Open the easy paisa app and click “Bank Transfer”
• Then select “Send Money to Raast ID”
• Now click “RAAST ID Management”
• Tap on “Activate My Raast ID” 

Now you can use Raast to receive and send money! 

Creating a Raast ID – Through JazzCash

If you have a JazzCash account and want to link it with your Raast ID follow these steps:

JazzCash App 

1. Open the jazz cash app and click on the “My Account” option on the homepage 
2. On the account menu click “RAAST ID Management”
3. Check your IBAN and mobile number 
4. Click the “Create RAAST ID” option

That’s it! 

Dial Method 

1. Dial *786# from your keypad
2. Choose the 6th option “My Account” from the services menu
3. Choose the 5th option “RAAST ID Management” from my account menu
4. Choose the 1st option “Create your RAAST ID” to register Raast ID
5. Check IBAN and your mobile number 
6. Select Send
