The Oppo slide phone was shown off at the China International Industrial Design Expo. The “human centric” design philosophy of the Oppo slide phone aims to let you use the phone based on your needs, instead of forcing you to modify your usage and needs based on the phone’s design.

However, we might never see the launch commercially, but it does provide us a holistic view of what the future of smartphones and accessories might look like and how brands will modify devices according to our needs rather than modifying us according to the usage. Although foldable phones are a reality today but we might see sliding foldable phones one day.

    Oppo Slide Phone

The Oppo Slide Triple Fold can literally fit in the palm of your hands. The Phone when folded is the size of a credit card.

The first unfold of the phone reveals a 1.5-inch screen and 40mm display, which should be adequate for checking time and notifications.

The second unfolds uncovers 80mm of the display, ideal for taking selfies or checking out and even sending quick messages.

OnePlus Flaunts 8T Concept Phone With a Color Changing Back

Just when we thought that OnePlus might be done with flaunting its concept phones it just dropped another one. The company revealed another concept model for this year and this time it is the OnePlus 8T. The model simply shows what the company might be coming up with and has been working on.

Let’s talk about the phones unique looking rear panel and design. The OnePlus 8T concept model has a rear panel that comes with a color changing film under the glass back. We’ve never seen that one before. This film is made out of metal oxide which can change colors when different voltages are applied to it. This is why it is able to change colors between silver and dark blue.

To put this new unique feature to use OnePlus says that this color-changing rear panel could be used as a notification system in the future.

Another feature that distinguishes this phone from the rest is its mmWave radar system that is able to send and receive electromagnetic waves. This allows the radar system to image, locate, and track objects with ease in any lighting conditions. Which means that the Camera will be able to clear and crisp images even in low light or dark.

OnePlus says that this could be used for gestures that would, for instance, allow you to accept and dismiss calls. It could also be used to track the movements of your chest and make for a reliable breathing monitor app.

However, similar to the OnePlus Concept One, the OnePlus 8T Concept is not meant to go for sale
