  • All About the Newly Launched OnePlus Nord N10 5G

Recently, OnePlus has introduced a new smartphone to its Nord lineup and that is Nord N10 5G. The device has decent specs and falls in the middle range in terms of pricing. This article is all you need to know about OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

    OnePlus Nord N10 5G

    Launch

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G was launched in Pakistan in November 2020.

    Design and Build

The OnePlus Nord N10 has a rather average design, it has a plastic build and a back is shiny with a fingerprint magnet and is very slippery. The plastic seamlessly wraps around the phone.

The N10 has gorilla glass 3 on the front which is less prone to scratching but more prone to breaking, which is why a case and a glass protector are necessary while using the phone for its protection. Aside from the material, it is very light in the hand with a heavy bottom so it won’t tip out of your hand. OnePlus Nord N10 has tactile power and volume buttons.

    Storage Options

There is a card slot that can hold either 2 sim cards or a sim and a micro sd card. You will find that the design of this phone resembles Oppo and Realme much more than that of the OnePlus.

    Display

On the front is a 6.49-inch IPS LCD with a full HD plus resolution and a punch hole in the upper left corner. The display has a 90-hertz refresh rate which feels very smooth. As far as the colors are concerned, they are quite cool out of the box and there is a choice to make the phone’s color reproduction more accurate.

    Dual Speaker Setup

There is a headphone jack and a dual speaker set up. It is referred to as a dual speaker as there is no channel separation which would make it stereo. It has good sound quality and efficiently passed the audio test. If you are more into wireless headphones, this phone supports Bluetooth 5.1.

    Battery Endurance and Charging Speed

Nord N10 has a 4,300 mAh power battery and got a very good hour of endurance on battery life tests. Charging is even better and you can get a 66% charge in just half-hour and a full charge in approximately 52 minutes. OnePlus software also has an optimized charging option that allows the phone to learn your charging habits and can reduce overnight charging loads.

    Snapdragon 690 Performance

The N10 has 6 gigabytes of RAM and the snapdragon 690 which supports sub 5 gigahertz 5g networks. It also has a single-core performance to phones that have the snapdragon 765g chipset and its multi-core scores are similar to phones like the Reno3 Pro 5G. Day to day you will find that this phone is snappy and responsive. The processor is tuned more for battery efficiency than performance and as a whole, it strikes a good balance between battery life and power.

    Android 10 and Oxygen OS

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G has Android 10 with Oxygen OS on top. OnePlus is only planning to update this phone up until Android 11 and after that, it will offer two years of security updates. This is something to keep in mind if you are after longevity in your phones, as it will only be updated till Android 11. Other than that, the software is mostly the same as on other OnePlus phones. There is no always-on display but you can set the screen to activate upon lifting the phone or while getting notifications. The launcher is simple and straightforward and there are quite a few customization options available. You can switch from light to dark themes, choose your ambient clock style, select an ambient color, change up the icons, and also switching the fonts.

The exceptional thing about this phone is the hidden space which lets you hide the apps that you don’t want to appear in the app drawer. The OS also supports parallel apps, so you can have two accounts on a single device.

    Camera Specs

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G has a quad-camera setup with a 64 mp main sensor auto-focus, an 8 mp ultrawide snapper, a 2 mp macro camera, and a 2 mp monochrome camera. During the day, the phone takes 16 mp snaps that look good overall. The ideal lighting colors are vibrant and the detail is awesome.

In more challenging shooting conditions, the image processing tries to compensate too much and you will get washout colors and shaded areas that don’t look shaded. There is an option to shoot photos in the full 64 mp resolution. When the light gets low, there is an option to choose nightscape on both the main and ultra-wide cameras. Without nightscape, the camera doesn’t do really well.

    Video Recording

If you are keen on videography, you should know that the Nord N10 supports 4k at 30 fps on the main camera and full HD at 30 fps on the ultrawide.

    Price

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G is being sold in Pakistan for Rs 49,999.

    To Conclude

If you are chasing an affordable 5G phone, then you should take a look at this one. The bright side is that it is very affordable and has fantastic battery life with fast charging and even nighttime shots are amazing.
