  • Samsung’s foldable smartphone to control 80% of the market this year

This year has been all about bringing a change to the tech industry as we know it with the multiple launches of foldable smartphones and they are slowly making their way to more consumers all around the world!

With all of the releases, Samsung has taken the initiative to introduce the new trend and seems to be seated comfortably at the driver’s seat to take complete control of the market.

    Galaxy Fold 2

They have quickly taken the shining spot as the leading foldable smartphone maker even though the category is relatively new and is making its way through its second-phase with their star – the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5g. Samsung seems determined to dominate the new category in flying colors!

The Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) reveal Samsung’s market share in the coming 12 months in the foldable smartphone category to hit around 80% and should total 4 million shipments!

    Razor Flip

Their only competition for now is Motorola with their latest re-launch of a newer foldable smartphone design to their previous hit; the Razr that did not get the attention they hoped for. Along with Huawei that was unable to push forward their new Mate X2 in time to possibly attempt at competing alongside Samsung. This comes as little to no surprise that Samsung has taken the lead and continues to wow their consumers with multiple foldable smartphone additions

    Galaxy Z Flip

Judging by the way consumers have given a warm welcome to the new Z Fold 2, Samsung appears to have a firm grip and won’t be taken down any time soon! As early predictions suggest Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip will reign as the best-selling foldable smartphone of 2020 followed by the Fold 2 – Samsung is here to stay and will continue to shine in their newly created high-trending category!
