Samsung’s new mid-range handsets may have been the next victim of the worldwide processor scarcity. Due to production challenges caused by the chip scarcity, Samsung has delayed the release of the Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy A72 in key areas. Samsung is apparently having trouble obtaining Qualcomm chipsets, namely the Snapdragon 720G and Snapdragon 750G — the two 8nm CPUs that power the company’s mid-range smartphones. Samsung will be unable to generate a consistent stream of these products without a consistent supply of this silicon. This has resulted in a scarcity in key markets.

While the Galaxy A52 5G and A72 are accessible in areas of the US and EMEA, getting these phones outside of these regions is difficult. However, the impact of the chip scarcity on Samsung’s goods isn’t surprising. In a recent investor report, the business forewarned of this potential. The lack of mid-range processors, on the other hand, is particularly terrible news for Samsung. Samsung also said that the Galaxy A series was one of its best performers in 2021, with the strongest growth possibilities.

Is This Going To Affect Future Samsung Phones?

At this time, it’s unknown whether Samsung’s other smartphone or product lines are affected. Samsung is set to unveil a slew of new gadgets, including the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy Z Fold 3, in the near future.
