Shehzadi Rai, a transgender rights activist and gender interactive alliance member, took oath on Wednesday as a member of the Karachi City Council on the seat that was reserved for transgender people. 

Shehzadi was participating in elections through the transgender person quota by PPP in the municipal council. This is the first time the transgender community is represented in the council. Shehzadi showed her gratitude through a tweet in which she mentioned that the hard work and dedication of her team finally paid off.

Twitter users loved the tweet and appreciated her for her hard work and success.
