Mufti Taqi Usmani, a Renowned Islamic scholar, recently took to Twitter to laud Asim Munir, the first-ever Hafiz-e-Quran Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
COAS is Pakistan’s highest Armed Forces position.
Asim Munir Memorized the Holy Quran in Madina
Mufti Taqi Usmani tweeted that General Asim Munir, the first Hafiz-e-Quran COAS memorized the Holy Quran in Madina, Saudi Arabia.
He further added that he expects the new COAS to be mindful of Quranic guidance.
General Asim Munir, will formally take charge as the new COAS on 29th Nov after General Qamar Javed Bajwa bids farewell to his 6-year tenure.
