Bannu is a city near the Kumrat River in KP. Where peaceful protest turned violent and deadly, which caused the death of many innocent civilians. The civilians of Bannu decided to do a peaceful protest. This protest called the Aman March, was meant to promote peace after an attack on Bannu Cantt, where eight soldiers were killed.
The Aman march started in peace. People marched the streets with white flags to show that they wanted peace in their area. But unfortunately, this march turned into a horrible incident. When the March reached sports complex, some troublemakers joined in; They started throwing stones at security faces. As a result of this, many innocent people lost their lives, and some got hurt badly.
People who saw this said that the members of PTM, a group of people, started violence. They attacked others who were doing a peaceful protest. Also, there was the fight between workers of local political parties.
After the deadly incident, the KP government said they would investigate the whole case immediately and would try to maintain peace in Bannu. And to give punishment to real culprits. This incident left the people of Bannu in extreme trauma because of the sudden deaths of their loved ones.
