Faisalabad To Get Metro Bus Service Costing Rs. 70 Billion

Faisalabad, the third most populated city in pakistan, has a higher ratio of public transport users. FDA has decided to transform its public transport facilities. 

Recently: The FDA announced to introduce Metro bus service in Faisalabad. The estimated cost of this project is Rs 70 Billion. 

Routes of Metro Bus service: 

The Punjab government approved this ambitious project, which aims to provide Faisalabad residents with comfortable, affordable, and effective transport services throughout the city. The initial routes of the metro bus have been announced. The metro bus will run on three routes. 

Routes Places
First Route:  From Kamalpur Motorway Interchange to Samundri Road BypassThis route will connect important cities within Faisalabad.
Second Route:  Narwala Ada to Satiana Road Fish Farm:This route will pass through various neighborhood and commercial areas.
Third Route: Jhang Road to Jaranwala Road:This will link key roads for better accessibility.

The main aim of starting this project is to provide a good transportation system to Faisalabad like other major cities have, such as Karachi’s people bus service, Peshawar’s transport, and Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan’s Metro bus service. Also, this project will improve the quality of life in urban areas of Faisalabad. This bus will provide the residents an affordable and comfortable transport, which help in the sustainable development of Faisalabad. 

The FDA completed its initial stage of this project, which included a survey and framework.
