Islamabad: On Tuesday, the Federal government announced strict measures against posting work-related stuff or any information related to their workplace on social media accounts.

According to a recent memo, the government introduced new rules for their employees regarding social media use, banning them from posting anything without prior permission.

If employees want to post anything related to their workplace on platforms like WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, they must verify it and get permission from their seniors first.

Prohibited Points:

  • Sharing information and documents on social media or in the press.
  • Expressing any opinions that may harm the government’s reputation or starting an online campaign against the government.
  • Speaking of posting any content  against government decisions, policies, and other sensitive information
  • Engaging in discussions and debuts that are against the government.

Senior officers will be responsible for checking their employees’ social media accounts to ensure compliance with these rules. The government further says it will encourage positive reviews and positive interaction from the audience.
