4 common Asian leopards intruded the Saidpur village on Thursday, as reported by GEO News.
The village is located in Islamabad, next to the protected area. The leopards hunted a goat and caused panic among locals.
Wildlife Management Staff Rushed to the Spot
The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) staff rushed to the area to ensure the protection of the residents and the endangered wild cats.
Leopards were spotted at 7:30pm, an IWMB staffer told APP (Associated Press of Pakistan)
Mosques Requested People to Remain Indoors
To ensure the safety of people, mosques made announcements, requesting people to remain indoors.
The Islamabad Police spokesman, speaking on the matter, said that in case of any emergency, information can be given to the police helpline, 15.
