Congratulating Kazim Khan, the newly elected President of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNC), and other office-bearers, Dr. Arif Alvi expressed his views on the positive use of social media.
He stressed on spreading awareness among the youth about fake news on social media. He emphasized on the role of CPNC in verifying facts and working against the publication of illegitimate news online.
He also expressed his views on how social media should promote high moral values along with Islamic teaching to deal with the rising social evils in the digital age!
Talking to the Media, the president advised them to raise awareness about the welfare of special persons and the rights of women in the country.
