In an effort to encourage people to drive with a license, the Punjab Police have been taking multiple steps, including the introduction of 24/7 service, a paperless procedure, along with the removal of regional requirements for the license.
According to the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman, every citizen in Pakistan with a CNIC can acquire a driving license from any center in Punjab after giving the test.
That means no condition of any district, city, or ethnicity applies in Punjab from now on.
Driving License Centers in Punjab
The number of 24/7 service driving license centers in Punjab are as follows:
City | Number of 24/7 License centers |

In small districts, the driving license centers will remain open for 6 days a week.
No Need for Agents
According to Dr. Usman, citizens do not need to contact any agent or special contacts to receive their license.
He urged the citizens to avail of the 24/7 service, and if there are any issues in the system, the candidates can make a video on TikTok or complain at the 1718 helpline.
The police will take action right away and will quickly resolve the issue.
