Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has established the Provincial Task Force for Road Safety to help reduce traffic accidents.
A thorough action plan will be created for the task force and swift measures will be taken to ensure public safety while preventing traffic accidents.
The task force will be led by Basharat Raja, the Provincial Minister.
The task force will also include the inspector general of police, chief secretary, assistant chief secretary (home), traffic, and other officers, who will draft legislation for the task force.
Environmentally friendly electric bikes will also be promoted to reduce pollution in the province.
