Documents from the Saudi consulate in Karachi state that Saudi Arabia has lifted restrictions on pilgrims visiting the Kingdom for Umrah.
Men under the age of 40 can now travel to the Kingdom on their own for Umrah, according to the brochure. On the other hand, women under the age of 45 are permitted, without “Mehram” (male guardians), to travel to Saudi Arabia for the pilgrimage.
In the past, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued instructions for female pilgrims without male companions. Women who want to perform Umrah without a “Mehram” (male guardian) can do so if they are 45 years old or older, according to the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
It was mandated that all travel agents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have an all-women group. Women under the age of 45 must travel with a “Mehram” (male guardian) to complete the journey, as stated by the Kingdom Ministry.
