Careem just took a great initiative and announced that it will reduce the restaurant’s commission fee to 5%. Since the government is keen on enforcing the closure of indoor dining as Pakistan goes through the second wave.
Careem’s food delivery service is supporting the restaurant industry in this challenging time by bringing down the commission fee. However, it is being passed down in the form of discounts to customers to encourage them to place orders.
During the first wave, restaurants were forced to close down and many businesses suffered due to the closure, some even couldn’t go back up. Restaurants all over the country faced hardships and a complete economic shutdown. Even now with new precautions and SOP’s the restaurants continue to face challenges because of reduced timings and a ban on indoor dining.
In response, the restaurants have highly appreciated the initiative taken by Careem to slash their commission rate in order for the restaurants to not go out of business.
