DGSE app to help children

Empowering more than 30,000 differently-abled individuals in Islamabad.

Human Rights Ministry has launched a Mobile App for differently-abled individuals this year with the aim to create awareness about the services present in education, rehabilitation, and training of those individuals. These services are present in various Special Education Centres and Institutions.

The development of this app is a great milestone in connecting approximately 30,000 differently-abled children who are not attending schools for education. The main features of this app include the selection of a suitable educational institution close to the residence and registering online without a need for physical access to those institutions and centers. The institutions included in the app are legit and work under the Directorate General of Special Education (DGSE). The parents of these individuals will be provided detailed information about the services, admission policies, and facilities to meet their satisfaction.

Along with these services, some other important services are provided free of cost to special children. These include:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Audiology
  • Medical
  • Ophthalmology
  • Artificial limbs

This app is restricted location-wise to Islamabad only and is a great initiative to start with. We hope that slowly and gradually various other districts will be included in the app in the near future. The developers of this app were awarded certificates by the Shireen Mazari for their great efforts.
