What is Passport Fee Asaan?
Passport Fee Asaan, a digital effort by the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports, Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, is designed to ease the burden on Pakistani citizens. Users of Passport Fee Asaan will be able to calculate and pay their Passport Fees in just a few taps.
Following are the features included in this service:
E-Payment
Passport fees can be calculated using a simple Wizard that allows the user to select the appropriate options based on his or her personal preferences and generate a payment challan (PSID). ATM, Internet-Banking, or 1-link member bank locations are all options for paying this PSID.
Complaint Resolution
If a customer has a problem with the payment process, they can use this app to file a complaint and get it addressed quickly.
Check Status
Users only need a few taps to find out if their Payment or Complaint has been processed or not.
Submit Passport Payment Online in Pakistan
You can pay the passport fee online through an e-payment app, Passport Fee Asaan. This service is currently in the testing phase by the government and will be open soon for all citizens.
Currently, you can pay your passport fee online through the official E-Payment Service. As you open this link, follow the steps as directed below:
Step 1. Open the link and go to the section ‘Passport Fee Payment’. Under the ‘Bill Generation’, click on ‘Passport Fee Payment’ to proceed.
Step 2. A new interface will appear. Click on ‘Get Started’ to continue.
Step 3. In this step, select ‘Machine Readable Passport (MRP)’.
Step 4. In this step, select the type of application you wish to submit your passport fee for. For instance, as you select ‘New Passport’, you will be directed to the next step.
Step 5. In this step, your passport fee will be calculated as you select priority type, booklet pages, and expiry duration.
Step 6. Enter your personal information here, including full name, CNIC, mobile number, and email. Also, select ‘Regional Passport Office Site’ (currently, this service is only available for Islamabad).
Step 7. After the successful entry of your correct personal information, click on ‘Generate PSID’.
A Payment Challan (PSID) will be generated. This PSID can be paid via ATM, Internet-Banking or 1-link member bank branches.
