Netflix, the streaming giant, has opened the doors to a new retail establishment where people of LA can spend money on items based on the streamer’s hit shows.
The pop-up store officially debuted on the thirteenth of October and featured life-size replicas of characters and objects from Netflix’s popular entertainment franchises.
Angelenos can get a full-frontal look at the legendary Young-Hee doll from Squid Game, super-baddie Vecna from Stranger Things 4, Queen Charlotte’s throne from the Bridgerton prequel, and many other characters.
The whole initiative is intended to increase the buzz for the streamer’s original content.
It is however important to note that the store now only sells limited-edition products. According to Netflix, more merchandise from “Stranger Things” will be available for purchase pretty soon.
In addition to this, many funky collectibles from Squid Game and a curated collection of merchandise from kids’ shows, including the iconic clothing, doll house, and Gabby Girl doll will also be featured in a short time.
Greg Lombardo, Netflix’s president of live experiences also shared his views in this regard.
He said the shop felt like the most organic next step to accelerate our expansion and bring Netflix’s most treasured series together in an entirely new way.
Lombardo further added that at the core of what we do is rewarding our fans and providing them the chance to immerse themselves in the universe of the tales they love.
The pop-up store will remain open until January 6, 2023.
