  • In united nations report, the world population has reached 8 billion.
  • More people on earth can lead to resource pressure in many countries.
  • Mass migration and war are also anticipated to be brought on.

According to UN Report, the world’s population has surpassed eight billion, with more hardships ahead for countries already battling resource constraints due to climate change.

The eighth billionth baby was born on Tuesday, the U.N. reported.

“The milestone is an occasion to celebrate diversity and advancements while considering humanity’s shared responsibility for the planet,” UN Secretary-General said in a statement.

While this population growth is occurring, analysts forecast that some nations will have significant resource constraints in the future years.

Particularly the African nations would be severely impacted. These are the countries most susceptible to climate change and in desperate need of climate funding.

You should however know that the population is growing less quickly overall.

While it took 12 years for the world’s population to increase from 7 to 8 billion people, it will take around 15 years for that number to reach 9 billion.
