On Pakistan’s 76th Independence Anniversary, President Dr. Arif Alvi awarded Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri with the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Award.
The president honored a total of 696 individuals, both Pakistani and foreign nationals, with multiple awards for their outstanding achievements and courage in various fields.
Out of the total, 118 prominent individuals were awarded Tamgha-i-Imtiaz Award for their contributions.
The awards were presented on August 14, 2023, Independence Day, although the formal ceremony is scheduled for March 23, 2024, Pakistan Day.
The array of awards includes Nishan-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Pakistan, Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Sitar-i-Pakistan, Sitara-i-Shuja’at, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, President’s Award for Pride of Performance, Hilal-i-Shuja’t, Sitar-e-Pakistan, Tamgha-i-Shuja’at, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, and more awards.
This year, 299 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz awards have been posthumously conferred upon COVID-19 martyrs.
