The Federal Medical and Dental College (FM&DC), Islamabad is Pakistan’s first public sector medical college in Islamabad. An initial recognition for 50 MBBS seats was granted to the college following an inspection by Pakistan’s Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) on March 28, 2011. PMDC rules and regulations were completed prior to relocating to NIH, and this grant was increased to 100 seats. The college is connected with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU).

Students from all throughout Pakistan are able to join the institute, which has designated seats for each region in accordance with the government’s quota. It is primarily affiliated with the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Federal General Hospital for more learning opportunities.

Admission to the Federal Medical & Dental College’s MBBS program is limited to 100 students per year (FM&DC). The eligibility criteria is as below:

Army Medical College

Army Medical College

Army Medical College was created in 1977 as a residential college for the study of selected cadets in medicine at the bachelor’s degree level. Students who do not wish to join the Pakistani military can also apply to the college. Each year, the college accommodates 200 students in MBBS. Since 2001, the college has been offering postgraduate studies in basic medical sciences (MPhil/PhD and FCPS) as well.

Margalla Institute of Health Sciences

In 1997, the Margalla Institute of Health Sciences in Rawalpindi was founded. The fields of Bachelor in Dental Surgery (B.D.S. ), Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), and Doctor of Pharmacy are all being taught by it. HBS stands for “Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar,” who is Islamabad and the Potohar region’s patron saint. The name honours the Trustees of the HBS Trust, which is the parent company of the HBS Medical & Dental College, for their unwavering dedication to Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Kazmi R.A., Ghous Pak, and Sufia-e-Karam in general.
