KPK Chief Minister Mahmood Khan performed the groundbreaking of Swat Motorway Phase-II, on 17th November, near Chakdara interchange.
Swat Motorway Phase 2 Project
The Swat Motorway Phase-II is 88 km long, starting from Chakdara and finishing at Fatehpur.
The project will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 36.404 billion.
4-Lanes, 9 Interchanges, 8 Bridges
The Swat Motorway would have 4 lanes that could be extended to 6 in the future.
9 interchanges at various sites along with 8 bridges on the River Swat would be constructed as well, under the project.
A Masterpiece of Road Communication
KPK Chief Minister Mahmood Khan, speaking on the occasion, stated that the Swat Motorway Phase-II is a flagship project for sustainable development and a masterpiece of road communication in the area.
Construction of Sanam Dam at Asbanr
The foundation stone for the construction of the Sanam Dam at Asbanr, Dir Lower was also laid by the chief minister, recently.
The estimated cost of the Sanam Dam project is Rs 2 Billion.
