Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Grappling was held by COPA TIGRE Championship, in which Pakistani Faheel Ameen won the competition and made Pakistanis proud all around the world. Faheel has a blue belt in Jiu- Jitsu and he has taken part in several international competitions.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a combat sport and self-defence martial art based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. BJJ focuses on the ability to control one’s opponent, gain a dominant position, and use a variety of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.

BJJ is based on the traditional Japanese jujutsu concept that a smaller and weaker person can defend themselves pretty successfully against a bigger, stronger, and heavier opponent by using various techniques such as leverage and weight distribution, taking the fight to the ground, and defeating them with a variety of holds and submissions.

Faheel Ameen is a young Pakistani talent that we all should cherish. The victory is undoubtedly something we should celebrate to motivate all other Pakistanis to take part in national and international competitions and bring medals and trophies to the country.
