Jemal Beker Abdula, the Ethiopian ambassador, in a meeting on Thursday, informed Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari that the groundwork for the launch of Ethiopian Airlines’s flights in Pakistan has been completed by both governments.
“The Ethiopia Airlines will soon be flying in Pakistan and start its operations from Karachi in a first phase,” the ambassador said.
It is worth mentioning that Ethiopian Airlines is the largest airline in Africa in terms of destinations served, passengers carried, fleet size, and revenue.
In the meeting, the ambassador also highlighted the challenges that Pakistan is facing as a result of climate change.
He said that Ethiopia would collaborate with the government of Pakistan to address all climate-related issues such as flooding, food insecurity, etc.
