Lady Aitchison Hospital
It was built on February 15, 1887, outside of the walled city of Lahore, which has since become the city’s most densely populated area. Lady Aitchison, the wife of the Governor of British Rule, was the inspiration for the name.

Begum Naheed Mirza (wife of former Pakistani President Iskandar Mirza) laid the foundation stone of Lahore General Hospital in 1958 as a beggar house. Lahore General Hospital was established in 1959 by the former government to provide health care services to the general public.

Mayo Hospital
