Nayatel has announced a price increase for several home internet packages, and it will be applied from 1st July, 2026. The increase is relatively small on entry-level packages but becomes more significant for higher speed plans.
Why is Nayatel increasing Internet Prices?
According to Nayatel, this increase in pricing is due to higher operating costs. The sudden rise in electricity bills, inflation, network maintenance expenses, and the increasing costs of imported telecom equipment have made it more expensive for the company to provide internet services.
How significant is the increase?
Looking at the percentage impact
- 30 Mbps: Rs. 75 increase ≈ 3.5%
- 40 Mbps: Rs. 100 increase ≈ 3.0%
- 70 Mbps: Rs. 300 increase ≈ 6.0%
The 70 Mbps Internet package Prices is seeing the largest percentage increase among the publicly reported plans.
For the majority of users, the monthly bill will only increase slightly, for example.
- A 40 Mbps customer will pay Rs. 100 more per month, which is Rs. 1,200 extra per year.
- A 70 Mbps customer will pay Rs. 300 more per month, which is Rs. 3,600 extra per year.
What is Changing?
| Package | Current Price (Rs.) | New Price (Rs.) | Increase |
| Home Unlimited 30 Mbps | 2,150 | 2,225 | +75 |
| Home Unlimited 40 Mbps | 3,350 | 3,450 | +100 |
| Home Unlimited 70 Mbps | 5,000 | 5,300 | +300 |
If you are a user of Nayatel and are completely satisfied with the quality and speed of the internet, its reliability, latency, and customer support, then this increase is relatively very minor for you compared with the cost of switching providers.
However, if you’re in the 70 Mbps plan and don’t completely utilize that speed, you can search for a lower package that would meet your existing needs; in this way, you can reduce your monthly bill.
The revised pricing will be effective from 1st July 2026. The customers will start seeing the new rates in bills generated after that date.
