NUST has partnered with Universitas Airlangga, in Indonesia, for community development and academic cooperation.
A summit headed by Engr Javed Mahmood Bukhari, the Rector NUST visited Surabaya, Indonesia.
The signature ceremony was held at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya and the rectors of both universities signed the MoU.
WUACD
NUST signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Universitas Airlangga and became a member of WUACD (World University Association for Community Development ).
WUACD aims to improve the quality of community service programs in Indonesia and abroad. The members include universities from:
- Australia
- Indonesia
- India
- Pakistan
- Philippines
- Thailand
- Korea
- Libya
- Malaysia
- Turkey
- Bangladesh
- China
- Timor Leste
After the Talloires Network in 2013, this is the 2nd consortium NUST has joined.
As per the MoU signed with the Indonesian university, NUST will participate annually in the summit to report on community development initiatives.
