In a disturbing turn of events, a man was recently arrested for murdering his American wife while trying to bury her body at a cemetery in Lahore.
The man was arrested on 13th August, Sunday, from a cemetery in Lahore’s Factory Area, Ghazi Road cemetery in Gulistan Colony.
According to police sources, the husband sexually abused his wife and mutilated her body.
The man fatally hit his wife on the head with a sharp object, and the police also claimed to have recovered sex toys from the man.
When police interrogated the man, he identified himself as Kazim Khan and said the body was that of his 50-year-old wife, Diana Christo.
The man told the police that he had killed his wife and was trying to hide her body in the graveyard when the police reached and arrested him.
Married for 28 Years
According to SHO Waji-ul-Hasan, the man married Diana in the US about 28 years ago and has a 26-year-old daughter with Diana, Karisma, who currently lives in the US.
According to Kazim, he lived in the Punjab Cooperative Society in Lahore and belongs to Jhelum. He used to live in the US but was deported after the 9/11 attacks, leaving behind his family.
The culprit had compelled his wife to visit him in Pakistan on July 22 after 12 years. He had told his wife that he was extremely sick.
Looking into the matter, the police doubted Kazim’s mental health and believed he was on drugs. They have sent the body for an autopsy and have filed an FIR against Kazim.
