UAE Sends Additional Humanitarian Aid to flood-ravaged Pakistan

A ceremony was organized in Karachi, Pakistan, to commemorate the arrival of ships from the UAE delivering 200 containers of food and medical supplies.

Pakistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, was also present on the occasion.

The UAE’s ambassador, Hamad Al Zaabi, stated during the occasion that the UAE was among the first nations to give Pakistan humanitarian supplies.

More than five lacs Pakistani households who have been impacted by the nation’s devastating, all-time high floods will get relief.

He further said that one of the main tenets of the nation’s foreign policy is the provision of international humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, Bilawal expressed gratitude to the UAE for its assistance and talked of the longstanding ties between the two nations that were forged by the late founding father of the UAE.

Al Zaabi also visited numerous flood-affected districts after his discussions with government representatives in Sindh Province, where he assisted in distributing relief that included food, medication, and shelter supplies.
