Talent Partnership Between EU and Pakistan

  • EU officials met Pakistan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

The European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Ylva Johansson, and Pakistan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar met on 14th November in Islamabad for a  comprehensive dialogue on migration and mobility. 

Talent Partnership between EU and Pak

The EU official and Hina Rabbani agreed to improve preparations for the launch of a ‘Talent Partnership’ to facilitate Pakistani nationals in working and living in interested EU Member States. 

They discussed possibilities for safe and legal pathways of migration to Europe. 

Minimizing Illegal Migration 

Hina Rabbani welcomed the EU’s commitment to legal migration and stated that the ‘Talent Partnership’ will minimize the possibility of illegal migrations and open doors for legal migration for talented Pakistanis.
