WhatsApp Has Increased the Group Members’ Limit to 1024

WhatsApp's New ‘Communities’ Feature Makes Group Chats Simpler

Whatsapp keeps on adding new features to the app in order to entertain and ease its users. Either it’s the new emojis or disappearing message feature or increasing the number of group members. Whatsapp is always surprising us with its new updates.

Whatsapp has now decided to increase the number of group members from 512 to 1024. The app recently received numerous updates, including iMessage-style emoji reactions, increased file-sharing limits, new voice note features, and more. But the Meta-owned messaging app has no intention of slowing down.

The announcement to increase the number of group members was made last month, and the app is now being released to beta users on Android, iPhone, and desktop, according to WABetainfo.

WhatsApp’s group size is small in comparison to Telegram, which has up to 200,000 people in groups. However, it is an improvement over the previous limit of 512.

Users who have the beta version of the app should already have this feature, and regular users should get it soon. The limit was raised from 256 to 512 in June, and it has now been doubled to 1024.

The messaging app has recently released some exciting new features, including the ability to empower group admins.

WhatsApp has added a feature that allows group chat administrators to delete all messages sent by their members. When they are deleted, the text “This was removed by an admin” appears.
