Arooj Aftab has been nominated for a grammy again after winning one last year.
She became the first Pakistani to win a Grammy in 2021.
Recently she has been nominated in the “Best Global Music Performance” category for her song ‘Udhero Na’ with Anoushka Shankar.
Taking to Instagram, Arooj Aftab shared The New York Times article, where she was amongst the nominated individuals.
Actor Sarwat Gilani, American singer Jessica Betts, Devonté Hynes, Poorna Jagannathan, and many others congratulated the actress.
Arooj Aftab Wrote “Udhero Na” at 15
In another post, Aftab expressed her joy over her nomination and stated that she wrote the song when she was 15 years old.
She added that Anoushka Shankar worked with her along with 2 more females making the song what it became today!
