Highlights:
- CDA will be adding 20 buses to the Green and Blue Bus Lines

On July 24th, DAWN news reported that CDA (Capital Development Authority) will be adding 20 more buses to the Green and Blue Bus Lines in Islamabad.
Currently, there are 8 buses (each) on both the Blue and Green Line.
CDA will be acquiring buses within one week to meet the growing passenger needs. CDA Chairman Amer Ali, made the decision while visiting the Metro Bus stops and routes.
The additional buses will benefit passengers from Bhara Kahu and Koral stop.
Green Line Bus Islamabad
The Green Line was inaugurated by PM Shebaz Sharif on July 7, 2022, along with the Blue Line.
The Green Line Bus service starts at Bhara Kahu and ends at the PIMS stop. From PIMS, travelers can catch the Red Metro Bus and travel to other locations in the twin city (Islamabad and Rawalpindi).
About 6000 passengers travel on the 8 Green Line buses, every day.
Blue Line Bus Islamabad
The Blue Bus Line starts at Koral and leads to the PIMS stop. About 5800 passengers travel on the 8 Blue Line buses, every day.
The Blue and Green Line Buses are currently running as non-stop buses till the bus stations for these lines are constructed.
It is reported that by August 14th, the bus stations will be completed. Separate corridors will also be established for these buses in the future.
Orange Line Bus Islamabad
The Orange Metro Bus Line operates from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport. 20,000 passengers board the 15 Orange Line Buses every day.
CDA’s environment wings have worked tirelessly to make the Orange Line appealing to customers by adding trees and seasonal flowers.
