Electric cars are a new trend in the West and are slowly being introduced in Pakistan. The successful introduction of electric car charging stations will result in minimum to zero emissions with tremendous fuel savings. Additionally, it also has a direct positive impact on the foreign exchange reserves of Pakistan.
Electric car charging stations are launched and are being functional in the three big cities of Pakistan: Lahore, Islamabad, and Karachi. The government has been working to introduce even more charging stations throughout the country to move towards a greener environment. The expectation is that by 2030, a high weightage will be given to electric vehicles in the country.

There is a BMW iRemote App to locate these stations. To use the charging station for your BMW car, a Charge Now card is required. It is a public charging station for EVs and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. It is located at Emporium Mall, Lahore.
Moreover, Metro has also installed a charging station for electric vehicles in Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore. It is a German multinational company with a leading chain of supermarkets.
