1 – Crown Electric Cars
Crown Group of Companies has launched two variants of electric cars in an affordable range. These vehicles are not only reasonably priced but also environmentally friendly.
Crown Electric Car (3-seater)
The first version of the Crown electric car has a 3-seater capacity with a BLDC Motor 1200W electric engine. It has dry lead-acid batteries (Lithium) with a capacity of 60V 80Ah/4.8kWh. It can cover about 80-85 km on a full charge. The maximum speed that can be reached is 40-45 km/h, and the total cost per kilometer is estimated at around PKR 1.20/km.
The price of the new Crown Electric Car having a 3-seater capacity is PKR 570,000.
Crown Electric Car (4-seater)
The second version has a 4-seater capacity with the same engine (BLDC Motor 1200W) as the first version. Except for the seating capacity, all other features are also the same.
The price of the new Crown Electric Car having a 4-seater capacity is PKR 630,000.
2 – Zotye Z100
Zotye Z100 is Pakistan’s first 1,000cc electric car. The first electric car company in Pakistan was developed in collaboration with China under the name “Topsun Motors.” The company opened its showrooms for the first time in January 2020 in Lahore. Topsun Motors inaugurated 4 models, including the Hatchback, and three of them are JMC. Zotye Z100 is a 1,000cc hatchback, and JMC has two variants: single cabin and double cabin.
The initial price of the Zotye Z100 quoted by the company is PKR 1,714,000. The price for JMC Single Cabin is PKR 5,900,000, for a JMC Double Cabin, it is PKR 7,198,000, and for JMC Vigus 2.4 L, it is PKR 10,030,000.
3 – Audi e-Tron
Audi e-Tron was officially launched by Audi Pakistan in March 2020. It is a fully electric and mid-sized luxury crossover SUV that is Audi’s first foray into the electric vehicle market. This car features a 71 kWh lithium-ion battery, and the model is 50 Quattro. It can give around 300 km on a single charge and uses a dual motor setup giving it the capabilities of a 4-wheel drive car. For this car, a 22 kW charging system is installed at home, which can fully charge it in about 5-6 hours. It is also equipped with an 11 kW portable charger which can be plugged into any AC power socket to charge on the go. It can reach a top speed of 200 km/h and comes with plenty of safety features.

4 – MG ZS EV
MG ZS EV is the new entrant in the country’s auto market. This electric vehicle is a subcompact crossover SUV and features a 44.5 kWh battery with a single motor that powers the front wheels. The company has claimed the range of this electric vehicle to be 262 km. It can be charged quickly with a Combined Charging System (CSS) at 80 kW DC power. It can also be charged at home by using a Type II 7.4 kWh AC charger. MG ZS EV comes with a range of powerful features like daytime running lights, parking sensors, and an in-car infotainment system for android and apple. The company plans to manufacture electric vehicles in Pakistan.

5 – BMW iX
BMW iX is another newest car on the list that was launched in November 2020. This German luxury car features a 100 kWh battery giving a range of 600 km, as claimed by the company. It is a 4-wheel drive car with a motor set up just like the Audi e-Tron. It has two ways of charging: with a 200 kW DC fast charger or a secondary 11 kW AC charger. With the help of a fast charger, it can be charged from 10% to 80% in about 40 minutes. It is fully loaded with technology features such as 5G connectivity, sensors, a camera, and driver aid suite, etc.

6 – Changan Lumin Corn EV
Because of its gorgeous and elegant appearance, Changan’s new tiny electric automobile has piqued everyone’s interest. The Changan Lumin Corn electric vehicle is compact in stature and appealing in appearance, and many car enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating its arrival in Pakistan. There are two powertrain options for the Lumin Corn: one that produces 41 horsepower (hp) and the other that produces 48 hp. The Gotion Hightech Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery is used in the 41-hp variant, while the CATL LFP battery is used in the 48-hp type.
