The Federal Government has approved the first women’s university in Mansehra, as well as the extensive water system. The institution has already selected a building, and classes at Women’s University are expected to begin in the upcoming academic session.

The special assistant to the Prime Minister (PM), Sardar Shahjehan Yousaf, revealed that the Federal Government has approved the first Women’s University in the Mansehra district, as well as the resolution of the long-stalled water scheme.

After briefing the lawyers gathered at the district bar, he informed the reporters that a building has already been selected for the university, and classes are expected to begin in the upcoming academic session.

Mansehra will be home to the country’s first women-only university. Along with this development, the Prime Minister has announced that a multi-billion rupee ‘gravity flow water supply scheme’ will be launched soon, with the modalities already finalised by the Pakistani and Saudi governments.

The Hazara division’s visa protector office will also open soon.

However, the healthcare system is still being neglected because the district’s Rural Health Centre (RHC) has many vacancies for doctors, pharmacists, and medical technicians but the patients are being referred to other districts. Because of the staff shortage, many dengue and malaria patients are being transferred to other facilities.

Hence the area still needs a proper healthcare system; therefore, the government should take care about the basic rights of people and start working on providing good healthcare facilities to people residing there.
