Education and Journey to the University of Westminster
Saro has secured admission to the School of Organizations, Economy and Society at the University of Westminster.
The program deals with Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources Management. Saro Imran belongs to Punjab and completed her Mphil degree in 2022 from Bahauddin Zakariya University for which she received the appreciation award from the Foreign Minister of Pakistan.
While speaking about studying abroad, Saro said she would work for transgender rights and uplift them economically. That way, they would be able to contribute to the economic development of the country.
Saro Imran an Aspiring Trans Rights Activist
Saro is a transgender advocate and a social entrepreneur supporting the socioeconomic development of marginalized communities.
Working since 2013, she is a 2022 Asia Foundation Development Fellow and in 2020 Saro launched the first space for transgender entrepreneurs in the country called the PINK Center.
Saro has worked with countless international organizations like the Commonwealth Youth Network for Gender Equality, IYAFP, Youth Lead, FP2030, Global Fund for Children, Rutgers, Youth Voice Count, and Accountability Lab, to name a few.
