‘One Network’ Stole The Limelight at IDEAS-22

On the second day of the great event IDEAS at the Expo Centre in Karachi, participants showed a significant interest in the Frontier Works Organization’s One network initiative.

FWO is aiming to lay down 3,000 kilometers of underground fiber optic cable along the motorways in Pakistan in its new project.

According to the details, the system would relieve motorway drivers of rush-hour congestion and eliminate the need for cash payments at toll plazas.

It would also be connected to the motorway police to let them monitor any violations of the law, including speed limits and seat belt use. 

Likewise, people would receive prompt recovery or rescue aid in case of emergency.

The fiber network project will cover M1 to M16 Motorways, as per sources.
