Since we all know Global Warming has been affecting planet earth in the worst possible ways and therefore steps should be taken to lessen the damages caused by it before it’s too late. President Dr. Arif Alvi of Pakistan has stated that global warming and climate change have hastened glacial melting.
During a visit to the Shisper glacial lake outburst flood-affected area in Hunza, the President instructed the authorities to take all feasible precautions to avoid damage in the event of natural disasters. He urged the necessary authorities to remain vigilant in the event of natural calamities so that no lives or property are lost in Gilgit-Baltistan. At Hasanabad FWO camp, the President was briefed by high-ranking officials from the National Highway Authority and the Frontier Works Organization.
The President underlined the importance of completing the affected bridge as soon as possible and resolving the concerns of those affected by the glacier outburst.
