The Happiness Bazaar is a platform for small businesses to present their work. It’s an opportunity for home-based entrepreneurs to showcase their unique products to the people of Islamabad. This initiative was started in 2020 to support entrepreneurs to recover from the negative impact of COVID-19 on their businesses. Starting with the seven businesses and a small setup, they’ve grown exponentially with over 1200 women-owned small home businesses across pakistan.
In the past few years, more and more people in Pakistan have started their businesses from home. During the COVID days, many women who lost their jobs started their businesses from home to support their families and to meet their household expenses.
Zaira Rizvi, the founder of Happiness Bazar, before organizing the bazaar ran her own home-based business through Facebook and Instagram.
Many famous influencers with large audiences were also invited to this event to review the products and support small businesses.
