The 1.8L and 2.0L Elantra variants are considered gas guzzlers in Pakistan, which is one of the reasons why the Elantra 2.0L had fewer sales despite its high price. In spite of this, the company has eventually triumphed, and the next 1.6L model is set to draw in more customers.
This upcoming model will be a competitor against popular sedans including Toyota Corolla Altis X 1.6, Honda Civic LX, Honda City Aspire 1.5, Toyota Yaris Ativ 1.5, and other popular cars.

Even if the specific changes to the Hyundai Elantra 1.6L have yet to be announced, one thing is for certain: the engine will be smaller than the 2.0L in the current Elantra, meaning that everything beneath the hood will be changed.
